Tea time is incomplete without any snacks... and specially a snack that is quick & easy and impresses our taste buds, is not impossible to make ! Yes, you heard it right :)) I hesitate to make food when it makes a huge mess and waste , and this recipe is just the right one !
I love my Tea and definitely enjoy some light snacks with my Tea... usually my freezer has some simple and quick snacks options, which I store in Zip lock, so that even my kids can thaw them and enjoy it with a side salad or home made dressing. But today, I'm gonna make something that's a tasty snack and will impress your taste buds too !!
Let's explore our pantry & refrigerator and try to collect ingredients to make this quick , yummy and easy snack ..." Sabudana Veggie Pops " . Just with few veggies , Sabudana ( Tapioca pearls ) , herbs you can make a really tasty snack. You can store these delectable snacks in your freezer for up to 1 week. These are very popular dish during Hindu fasting days when we eat non lentils / flour food.
I tried this in my Appa maker and they turned out really yummy and consume very little oil. It doesn't matter if you bake or air fry them, the whole idea behind is that snacks should be oil free or at-least very less oil.
This snack recipe is packed with summer veggies and you can always try to add new add-ons to make it more tasty and flavorful, the options are again endless . Usually it is a Crispy Fried Vada made with Tapioca pearls along with potatoes , roasted peanuts , onion and herbs. Since Sabudana is pure starch , I'm adding Tofu today and make it rich in protein .
Before getting started: Few things you can do beforehand to save time. First, "Wash and soak" tSago Pearls / Sabudana in water for 2-3 hours and make sure they are soft. Second, you can also dry roast your peanuts and store in a air tight container, and add them to your pops. The best thing about this snack is that you can serve it with any homemade delicious Dip- dressings or Hummus or simply with Tomato Ketchup / Chutney / Ranch.
